Amy Biehl’s Music Alive Annual Gala Dinner 14th November 2011

The Amy Biehl Foundation (ABF) is a non–profit organisation in Cape Town, South Africa. The Foundation reaches out to thousands of children in Townships through After School programs.

The aim is not just to keep the children off the streets and away from all the negative influences (drugs, crime, violence etc), but specifically focused on giving them that extra necessary education in crucial areas such as HIV/AIDS prevention, reading, computers, greening and environment, music, arts, sports and more.

With these programs the children are given the opportunity to show and improve their skills and creative development, which is crucial for their future.

HIV FREE GENERATION DEC 2011

We all want to change the world, even in the smallest way possible, but we just shake our heads in dismay when we see children begging on the streets, teenagers having to look after their younger siblings, and domestic workers and their families dying of dreaded diseases every day. We wait for the world to change, but we do not know, we are the catalysts of change. If we stand up, support and work together, the stigma and numbers of those infected by HIV/AIDS will fly out the broken window through which many countries are viewed.
